Rep. Jodey Arrington, Chairman,
House Budget Committee
Chairman of the House Budget Committee, Congressman Jodey Arrington (R-TX), is tentatively scheduled to speak at the Farm Bill Summit on the morning of Friday, August 30th.
Chairman Arrington has been a champion for agriculture in his position on the Budget Committee and has worked closely with the House Agriculture Committee to help advance the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2024 out of the House Agriculture Committee, which would make significant investments in the farm safety net.
The Chairman’s efforts have been extremely instrumental through the Farm Bill process, and we are very grateful for his willingness to participate in the Farm Bill Summit.
In additional to Chairman Arrington, Dr. Joe Outlaw and Dr. Bart Fisher, Co-Directors at the Texas A&M University Agricultural & Food Policy Center, will join us to share their perspectives on the Farm Bill.
Dr. Joe Outlaw, Co-Director,
Agricultural & Food Policy Center, Texas A&M
Dr. Bart Fischer, Co-Director,
Agricultural & Food Policy Center, Texas A&M
Drs. Outlaw and Fischer have been instrumental in providing economic insights for every major agriculture policy and Farm Bill discussion in recent history. They have worked tirelessly to promote the production agriculture industry and are consistently relied upon by Congress for their invaluable knowledge and expertise in agricultural policy.
