Contribute to the U.S. Drought Monitor

The U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) serves as a trigger for multiple forms of federal disaster relief for agricultural producers. There are multiple ways to contribute your observations.

  1. Talk to your state climatologist.
  2. Email to inform the USDM authors.
  3. Become a Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network (CoCoRaHs) observer. Submit drought reports along with daily precipitation observations to the CoCoRaHS.
