PCG 66th Annual Meeting March 28, 2023

The Plains Cotton Growers Inc. 66th Annual Meeting will be held on March 28, 2023, at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center in Lubbock, Texas.

This year, online registration is available and highly encouraged.

ERP Phase 2 Calculator Now Available

The Emergency Relief Program (ERP) Phase 2 Calculator is now available. This tool can help you determine eligibility for Phase 2 and provide an estimated program payment calculation.

Enrollment began yesterday (Jan. 23, 2023) and runs through July 14, 2023.

2023 Seed Cost Calculator Now Available

The 2023 version of the Plains Cotton Growers Inc. Seed Cost Calculator is available for download on the PCG website at the bottom of the “Resources” page. 

The PCG seed cost calculator is an interactive Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that allows producers to calculate an estimated cost per acre, for both seed and technology, based on published suggested retail prices.

Farm Stress – Help and Hope

PCCA’s recent article is timely and important for those in our industry.

 

“Even in good times, farmers face a unique set of challenges when it comes to rural stress and mental health. Some of this is due to a lack of mental health services in rural communities.

Today, the U.S. farm economy is in crisis due to low commodity prices compounded in some areas by adverse weather. Consequently, some farmers are under intense stress, facing serious financial issues and may fear losing the family farm. This can lead to feelings of isolation, so we must remind them that they are not alone.”
